I was very puzzled to see our Dear Leader Presidente Salmond in the Royal Box at Wimbledon on Sunday for Nadal v Djokovic. Perhaps it was the chance to meet the Serbian President to discuss the routes small countries might take to freeeeedom. Perhaps he just enjoys the trappings of the British state when he thinks no-one is watching.
Either way round, I was amazed that he didn't storm the court and perform a citizen's arrest on Djokovic when he celebrated his win by the extreme sectarian device of blessing himself. If the First Minister cannot lead from the front on this issue and Mcaskill is still helping the police with their enquiries, who will stand up for Scotland's brave new laws?
